Rescue Dogs in Need of a Good Home!
A Message from Judy, Owner of Judy’s Dog Rescue:
Every dog at my rescue has had all necessary vaccines, is healthy, and has been behaviorally rehabilitated. I believe all dogs from my rescue brighten lives here in Shekou and provide companionship, and I hope to find a warm and loving home for each. Ideally, the pup will become part of your family and travel back to your home country when the time comes. However, families who would like to foster a pet during their time in China are welcome to do so. The same assistance is provided to both foster families and adoptive families.
All dogs adopted/fostered from my rescue will have lifetime use of my services:

Laifu
My name is Laifu, which means the coming of happiness in Chinese. I'm a 1 and 1/2 year old boy and was rescued by Judy at the construction sites near Sea World. I'm sweet and quiet, and I love girl doggies. I'm a little territorial when around male pups though.
Seka
Hi, my name is Seka and I am a 6 year old girl. I came to Judy in 2007 after I had been horribly abused, which is why I had a problem trusting people for a long time. After years of peaceful living in Judy’s garden, I’ve learned to trust again and believe that most people in this world are good. I am quiet, independent, elegant, clever, and loyal. I am spayed and am in perfect shape.
ChuenJie
Hi my name is ChuenJie and I’m a 2 year old boy. I was found by Judy a day before Chinese New Year 2011, in a construction zone near Sea World. I’m a beautiful Pekinese, which makes me a very popular breed among Chinese families. I don’t know who, when or why I was abandoned, but I do remember that someone hurt my eye very badly. I had a very bad infection and it was very painful for me. Judy took me to the vet, and I received treatment for 4 months to try to save my eye. It was too late though and eventually the vet had to remove my right eye. I can still use my left eye though!
In spite of it all it all, I’m a positive and happy young boy. I love meeting new people and I trust and
embrace everyone. I feel lucky to be here today and still see the world as a beautiful place.

Bell
Hi, I’m Bell. I’m a 2 and a half year old little boy. When I was very young, someone threw me and my brother Jacky over Judy’s gate, into her garden. We were both terrified and lost and didn’t understand why our owners didn’t want us anymore. I’m about 6 kg, which makes me perfect for an apartment (or house). I’m quiet, love being pet, and love sitting in your lap to keep you warm in the winter.
UPDATE: Bell was adopted by a Danish family and currently lives in Coastal Rose Garden.

Jacky
Hi, my name is Jacky and I’m Bell’s brother. I’m also 2 and half years old. Because I was thrown over the gate when I was very young with my brother, I was left traumatized. I spent most of my time hiding under tables and behind furniture with my brother. I slowly started to trust Judy and, with the help of our Danish trainer, I have finally adjusted and am a very happy, confident, healthy and loyal boy. I also love to give out free kisses!
UPDATE: Jacky was adopted by an American family and, after living in Shekou with his new family for a few months, moved back to America with them.

Coco
Hello to all! My name is Coco, I am a 5 years old, pedigreed Shitzu. Judy found me 3 years ago after I had been badly hurt by a bigger dog. I was bleeding and pregnant but Judy was there to help me as I gave birth to my pups. She also found warm, loving homes for each of them. I have yet to find a family to call my own though.
I am not very young anymore but I am loving, well behaved, and quiet. I’d make a very calm companion which is perfect for a family who doesn’t want to fuss with a puppy. Judy had me spayed too, so I won’t have to worry about having any more pups!
UPDATE: Coco was adopted by a Korean family currently living in Coastal Rose Garden.

Mercie
Hi, I’m Mercie and I’m just 28 weeks old! A British man found me outside of Coastal Rose Garden when I was a newborn girl. When he took me to Judy, I was only as big as her palm.
Since I’m still a puppy, I get into a bit of trouble. Today I am 45cmlong and am paper trained. I’m a little shy but I love exploring and am very happy and healthy. I’ve gotten all my first year shots and my vet says I will grow to a beautiful, medium sized dog.
UPDATE: Mercie was adopted by an American family currently living in Jingshan Villas. She loves playing with their three children and snuggling with her adoptive mom.

Jinbao
Hello, my name is JinBao and I’m a traditional Chinese Chai dog, which means I’m a good family watch-dog and very loyal. Although I was born on the streets, Judy took me in when I was just a few months old; hungry, skinny and alone. Now I’m a year and a half old! I’m a very quiet boy and have a very friendly personality.
I’m good with children and I love long scratches behind my ears. I’m also very obedient and easy to walk on a leash because I always stay close.
UPDATE: Jinbao was adopted my an American couple currently living in Coastal Rose Garden. His parents own a bagel shop, making him the first pup to ever run a bakery!

Meimei
Hi, my name is Meimei and I’m about 3 years old. Somebody abandoned me near QSI. After two days with no food or water, Judy found me and took me in. It was the 1st of May so she named me Meimei. Judy had me spayed and got me all my vaccines, so I’m a healthy girl!
My breed is likely a Tibetan terrier and I’m about 10kg. I am a very upbeat girl, I enjoy running, and I’m well behaved. I love children and would be a suitable family pet. I’d be happy to live in an apartment or a house.
UPDATE: After living with her adoptive parents in Shekou, China for one year, Meimei traveled back to America! She now lives in Houston, Texas with her adoptive parents.
